At MonsterSlam, we know a thing or two about putting on big days out. And when our team swaps monster trucks and motorcycles for guitars, microphones and festival stages, the same idea applies: give people a brilliant atmosphere, plenty to see and do, and a day they’ll still be talking about afterwards.

That brings us to the Kent Tribute Festival, which returns to Quex Park, Birchington, from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May 2027 for a very special weekend.

Because 2027 marks ten years since the very first Kent Tribute Festival.

What started back in 2017 as a one-day celebration of some of the UK and Europe’s best tribute performers has grown into a full three-day festival weekend, bringing together live music, food, bars, family entertainment, camping and thousands of music fans.

And after the move to Quex Park proved such a success, they're doing it all again in 2027.

Ten Years of Kent Tribute Festival

There’s something rather special about reaching the ten-year mark.

Over the years, Kent Tribute Festival has grown from a local one-day event into one of the region’s best-loved family music weekends, while keeping the relaxed atmosphere that made people come back in the first place.

Quex Park gives the festival room to breathe, with plenty of open space, free event parking and the opportunity to stay for the whole weekend rather than having to head home when the last act leaves the stage.

Whether you come for one day or move in for the weekend, the idea is simple: great music, a proper festival atmosphere and a Bank Holiday weekend that doesn’t cost a small fortune.

Three Days of Live Music

The music begins on Friday 28th May, when the Main Stage opens with a special 80s Night.

Tributes to some of the biggest names of the decade will kick off the weekend, including George Michael, Madonna and Duran Duran, before Saturday and Sunday bring two full days of music across the festival stages.

Saturday’s line-up includes tributes celebrating the music of Michael Bublé, ABBA, Eminem, The Killers and AC/DC, before Pure Queen takes the headline slot.

Sunday brings another packed programme, with tributes to The Police, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Madness and Bon Jovi, alongside performances celebrating artists including Sabrina Carpenter and Harry Styles.

It means you can go from pop to rock, indie to rap, 80s classics to modern chart favourites, often without walking more than a few metres.

Your vocal cords may be less enthusiastic about the arrangement by Monday morning.

More Than Just the Main Stage

One of the reasons Kent Tribute Festival works so well is that it isn’t simply a succession of bands on a stage.

There’s a whole festival going on around them.

Expect fairground attractions, inflatables, glitter and face painting, food traders, licensed bars and family entertainment throughout the weekend.

And because the festival sits within the Quex Park estate, visitors also have activities including the adventure farm, adventure golf, paintball and other attractions nearby, with some Quex Park activities available to book separately.

So while the music is very much the heart of the weekend, there’s plenty happening away from the stage too.

Stay for the Weekend

Camping returns for 2027, with pitches available for tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans.

The main campsite opens from 11am on Friday 28th May and remains open until 2pm on Monday 31st May, giving festival-goers the chance to turn three days of music into a proper Bank Holiday break.

And there are two new options for 2027.

Camping Plus allows a limited number of visitors to pitch much closer to the music arena, which is particularly useful for anyone who doesn’t fancy the walk back to the main campsite.

There’s also an early Thursday arrival option, allowing campers to arrive after 5pm on Thursday 27th May, get everything set up and wake up on Friday already in festival mode.

Both options have limited availability.

Fancy Doing It in Style?

The festival’s popular VIP area is back for 2027 too.

Limited to just 200 people, it provides a covered seated area within the music site, luxury toilets and its own private bar, plus a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival.

The VIP area is positioned far enough from the main PA to offer somewhere a little more relaxed, while still providing a good view of the stage. And, naturally, VIP wristband holders can wander out and get closer to the action whenever they fancy.

It has become one of the quickest areas of the festival to fill, so it’s definitely one to book sooner rather than later.

Music With a Community Behind It

Kent Tribute Festival has always had strong local roots.

Between 2017 and 2025, support from festival-goers helped the Strode Park Foundation raise more than £80,000, and its volunteers will once again be joining the festival at Quex Park in 2027 to continue their fundraising.

That community connection has been part of the festival since the beginning, and it remains important as the event heads into its second decade.

A Proper Festival Without the Proper Festival Price

There are enormous festivals where attending involves months of planning, carrying half your house across a field and taking out what feels suspiciously like a second mortgage.

Kent Tribute Festival is deliberately rather easier.

There’s free parking, great-value tickets, day and weekend options, family camping, food and drink on site and three days of music covering several generations.

You can bring the children, come with a group of friends, treat yourself to VIP or disappear into a tent for the weekend and fully embrace festival life.

It can be as relaxed or as lively as you want it to be.

Join Us for the 10-Year Celebration

Ten years after the first Kent Tribute Festival, it feels fitting to be celebrating the anniversary with the biggest version of the event yet.

Three days.

Two festival stages.

A huge range of music.

A full Bank Holiday weekend at Quex Park.

And thousands of people singing songs they already know every word to.

Well, most of the words.

Kent Tribute Festival 2027 takes place at Quex Park, Birchington, from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th May 2027.

Camping is available until Monday 31st May, with an optional early arrival from Thursday evening.
